UK - Patient Care Trust

Each separate PCT in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland (or its Regional Equivalent: LHB etc.) can be accessed by name if you search through the Index 'Hospitals + Trusts' to do so Click Here

They are not trusts in the legal sense but are in effect public sector corporations or QUANGOs. Each trust is headed by a board consisting of executive and non-executive directors, and is chaired by a non-executive director. Non-executive directors are recruited by open advertisement!

A huge amount of detailed data about each and every PCT together with details of spend per patient per disease etc. and number of Medical Practices can be found from the Unadjusted Disease Prevalence - Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) for April 2006 - March 2007, England. Including the Numbers of QOF disease registers and unadjusted prevalence rates by Primary Care Trust.
