Overview

Nephrectomy is the surgical removal of a kidney, commonly using a minimally invasive surgical technqiue such as Laparoscopy or by open Surgery

There are different types of Nephrectomy such as

Partial Nephrectomy

Removing part of the infected Kidney. This will either be carried out as open Surgery of Laparoscopic Surgery depending on:

  • The location of the infected part of the Kidney
  • The skill of the surgeon

Radical Nephrectomy

The Method of Nephrectomy

Laparoscopic Nephrectomy

Partial Laparoscopic Nephrectomy

Open Nephrectomy
