Post subject: Two Years On

Two years ago when I was told I had Kidney Cancer.

I am one of the lucky ones who did not have to have anything other than the surgery. But like everyone else my life has not been the same since.

My Tumour was about 11 cm and they where not too sure how long it had been there. The size was 7 cm when found so it had grown quite a bit by the April when it was remove. It was discovered because I had high blood pressure - nothing else to worry me.

I still have high blood pressure so that was not a cause and just a very lucky reason to be sent for an Ultrasound. Just as I was getting over the nefrectomy I had the return of a niggling problem I had had before having to face THE Challenges of kidney cancer my Gall Stone started up again with a vengeance and I had to have that removed as we.

Two years on and I'm doing fine. The last two years has taught me a lot and with the help of this site & The James Whale Forum I am learning more and have made many new friends who are able to support me on the Wobbly days.

Good luck to all of you and if I can help you just call me any weekday between 3pm. and 8pm. on 01493 304111.

Janet Age 53 Married to lovely Nick for a year and a half Have 5 children between us I was a nursing aux but now a lady of leisure (or in other words they would not let me return to work after my Nephrectomy 2005.04.07 - my Dad's birthday!
