Personal Comments

Greg Lance-Watkins I had met Windsor casually under social circumstances prior to his having professional responsibility for my case which he assumed at the end of 1998. He was a sociable individual of some notable competence but with a diffident manner that could be difficult for some.

Windsor was very popular with many but his manner belied his competence, an ability he was at times too casual about. Difficulties and stress took their toll and led to an unfortunate early demise. I will always be greatfull to Windsor for his overview that led to a correction of diagnosis by a less competent and attentive subordinate. Similarly I will remember him for his sensitivity in the manner he held my hand through a very scarey time. Amongst the staff who worked on his direct team he brought out the best and will be both remembered and missed for many years.
